There’s one thing about myself that I hate more than any other feature I have, and that is my punctuality when it comes to obligations. I have a terrible habit of being late for things, like work, doctors appointments, funerals, etc. It’s something I work hard on, but my biological time clock never knows when it’s late, and I normally stay up later than I’d like, causing me to be overly tired and unmotivated the next morning.
Today though, it wasn’t my fault. Today was probably the latest I’ve ever shown up for work, but I swear, it wasn’t because of any lack of will to get to bed at a decent hour last night. No, I was up until - well, last time I looked at the clock - 3:00 AM with an unbelievably painful headache. Actually, it was bordering on the headache/migraine fence. And it hurt. And it wouldn’t go away. And it made me late!
I was laying in bed, absolutely in agony trying to forget about this throb in my noggin’, filling my mind with other thoughts, but it just wasn’t meant to be. I assume that once I fell asleep, I still had the headache, because I had some pretty terrifying dreams last night. It was really because I was watching season 2 of Six Feet Under last night, which propelled the idea of my dreams, but they were pretty rough. One of those types of dreams where you wake up and think “holy shit, let this be a dream!” Luckily, it was.
The dream was that I had a kid. Yeah, and I wasn’t married. Not only that, but I just couldn’t tell my parents for fear of disappointing them, and I was obligated to marry a person I didn’t love one bit. It was hell! Like most of my dreams, I only remember the highlights and I’m sure there was more, but I’m at a loss at this point. Just one of those very vivid dreams that you can’t stop thinking about the next day.
It’s amazing to me how 30 minutes in time can change or alter the amount of traffic on a road. As I said, I was late to work this morning and couldn’t help but notice that the roads were so much clearer than they would have been if I had left on time. In reality, I probably shaved a good 5 minutes or so off of my commute just because I left so late. Crazy stuff.
Today, I’m coming home to Chattanooga for the weekend, and I’m extremely excited about that. Sunday I have to fly to Virginia, so I decided to take Friday off and go home for a couple of days before having to fly out on Sunday. It looks like it’s a good plan and I really look forward to seeing my friends, and especially my family. Saturday night, I think I’m going to go riding with my brother, who is a police officer. I haven’t ridden with him in a very long time, so I’m overly excited about this. Not only that, but I plan on hanging out with a girl from high school that I haven’t really seen, well, since high school. We’ve become pretty good friends through email and myspace, so I look forward to drinking a few brews with her.
My company has an interior newsletter for employees that we’re required to write articles for, and the last one I wrote was well written and informative, in my opinion, so I thought I’d post it here for your pleasure. It’s a techy article but applies to everyone who uses a computer. Check it out!

that article reminded me of my thought last night about how it would be so cool to have this feature within yourself (via a chip indside your brain that was connected to your retina) which allows you to visually see info without it actually being in front of your face.
so basically what i’m saying is you can surf the triple dubs from standing virtually anywhere in the world. ofcourse the chip would have to get access from satellites but thats no problem. also you can get loads of info, not just internet. you’ll beable to upload all sorts of random information.
a good expample of what i’m talking about is the terminator movies. you know how the terminators of that vision where they can scan people and it tells them if they’re male/female…the color of close they’re wearing, their names etc…
anyway yeah, that would be cool

That would come in handy when I want to relive certain moments, like being at a cool strip club. I could just upload what I was seeing to my computer at home and watch it over and over! I think you’re onto something here, buddy!

I’m always late for stuff too. All i can say is “it happens”
I don’t sweat it though.
Oh, and i really liked your article on toolbars and such. I HATE those things. Besides, a real browser *cough*firefox*cough* has a search bar built in anyway.
