Glittering Jewel of Colossal Ignorance

I kid you not people. I absolutely kid you not. Barack Obama was in a town-hall style event with supporters and addressed energy issues in Springfield, MO. Oh my goodness, I cannot believe how pathetically stupid and absolutely ignorant this man is. Here’s what he said about drilling as a way to lower fuel prices [video at link].
“We could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling if everybody was just inflating their tires and getting regular tune-ups. You could save just as much.”
So he thinks that the laws of supply and demand and oil speculation can be solved by inflating our tires more and getting regular tune-ups? The some SIXTY BILLION BARRELS OF OIL we have the potential of getting from ANWR and from drilling off the coasts can be forgotten and aren’t needed as long as we inflate our tires and get regular tune-ups?
I’ve asked this countless times in the past, but how on earth is this man still a contender in the race to become the President? How is this man defensible? Who can support such colossal ignorance? Are Americans really this stupid???

So let me get this straight… if I put more air in my tires I won’t have to buy gas???? Hmm…. brilliance, sheer brilliance **eye roll**

The sad thing is…many Americans ARE REALLY this stupid. We really need to limit who can vote. Those stupid people think that there is a “right” to vote in Federal Elections. There is NOT.
Raise Voting Age to 21 – Stupid Liberal college kids have shouldn’t be allowed to vote when Stupid Liberal professors have control over their minds.
No Welfare! – If you receive any federal welfare program OTHER then Social Security, Medicare or Social Security Disability (in other words OLD PEOPLE that have contributed to society in their youth), you CAN’T vote until you can make a living for yourself. Why should someone who can’t take care of themeselves or their families be allowed to make decisions for my family OR be able to vote themselves more benefits
ID Check – No ID (Drivers License, Military ID, State ID, ect), then you can’t vote. Period.
Smarts – Anyone born after 1975 must have a high school education or GED in order to vote. I do think it’s fair to allow the older generations a pass on this, as education wasn’t as available and education wasn’t as valued by society.
This is just a few ideas to limit the number of ignorant people…you know…the kind that think that tune ups and wind power will solve the need for energy, from actually making it into office.
