The 21’st Century Reagan?
Without a doubt, Sarah Palin knocked the puck out of the hockey rink last night with her amazing acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention. Said to be one of the most watched speeches of this entire election season, Sarah did a phenomenal job of laying out her case, John McCain’s case, and Barack Obama’s lack of a case. Her humor and candor was something so Reaganesque that I can’t wait until she gets the opportunity to run for President herself.
I truly feel that Palin and the likes of Bobby Jindal are the up-and-comers for the conservative people in this country and it is so refreshing that the Maverick in McCain chose someone with such intellectual honesty and such strong core values. It’s incredibly difficult to find something negative to say about Palin, so as you all know, her family is being attacked. And not just being attacked, but a shit storm has surrounded this family unlike anything that has ever been in modern day politics. And it’s quite disheartening that Barack Obama can admit to snorting cocaine when he was younger and the media ignores that. But when Palin’s teenage daughter gets knocked up, every news publication around defames this small town family.
If you watched the speech last night, you certainly saw that this storm hasn’t affected Sarah Palin, and in fact, you saw the Eye of Hurricane Sarah swoop over the Obama/Biden campaign. Everything Palin said, all her slams, and all of her humor was dead on accurate. Irrefutable. Genius. Articulate. Masterful. It was, in my opinion, one of the best speeches I have ever seen given by anyone.
I cannot wait to vote in November for Sarah Palin, in the hopes that my part will eventually lead to her rise to become the next President of our great land. If you didn’t see the speech last night, go find it on YouTube or something. I’m sure the RNC has it posted up somewhere too.

BREAKING: Sarah Palin “Winged” Her Speech Because of “Broken” Teleprompter
Halfway through Sarah Palin’s speech tonight at the RNC, people following the speech noticed she was deviating from the prepared text.
According to sources close to the McCain campaign, the teleprompter continued scrolling during applause breaks. As a result, half way through the speech, the speech had scrolled significantly from where Governor Palin was in the speech. The malfunction also occurred during Rudy Giuliani’s speech, explaining his significant deviations from his speech.
Unfazed, Governor Palin continued, from memory, to deliver her speech without the teleprompter cued to the appropriate point in her speech.
Contrast this to Barack Obama who, when last his teleprompter malfunctioned, was left stuttering before a crowd unable to advance his speech until the problem was resolved.
Sarah Palin. Winner.
Even More: My favorite quote from her speech:
“This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word ‘victory’ except when he’s talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed…when the roar of the crowd fades away…when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot — what exactly is our opponent’s plan?”
